La Chine dans les Expos parisiennes de 1867, 1878, 1889 et 1900...

En ce moment se déroule, et ce, jusqu'au 10 septembre prochain, Expo 2017 Astana... et comme pour chaque Expo, a lieu chaque jour ou presque, une journée nationale de l'un des pavillons présents.
Aujourd'hui, c'est la Chine qui est à l'honneur à Astana...

On pourra noter que la Chine a comme beaucoup d'autres pays, une riche et longue histoire dans les Expos... depuis la première d'ailleurs, à Londres en 1851 !

A la fin du XIXe, la France a accueilli des Expositions universelles de manière très régulière, dans lesquelles la Chine a toujours eu une place de choix.

Je profite donc de cette Journée du Pavillon de la Chine à Expo 2017 Astana, pour revenir sur un film 3D que j'ai réalisé à l'occasion de l'Exposition universelle de 2010 à Shanghai. Ce film présente les restitutions de tous ces pavillons chinois lors des Expositions universelles à Paris en 1867, 1878, 1889 et 1900.

A travers 6 séquences, ce film montre la richesse, la variété et la beauté de ces participations chinoises qui ont été fort remarquées à Paris.

Expo 1867 Paris :
- La chine est présente sous la forme d'un petit parc de forme circulaire, qui comporte plusieurs constructions, dont un kiosque de thé, un bar et un restaurant, un bazar, ainsi qu'un théâtre.

Expo 1878 Paris :
- Dans la célèbre Rue des Nations au centre de l'immense palais principal du Champ de Mars, se trouve la façade de la Chine qui précède les galeries des exposants Chinois.
- Au Trocadéro se dressait un charmant pavillon au centre d'un petit parc chinois. D'authentiques produits chinois y étaient présentés. Dans la cour intérieure se trouvait un kiosque.

Expo 1889 Paris :
- Allée de Suffren au Champ de Mars, on trouvait le petit pavillon principal de la participation chinoise. D'une architecture un peu étrange, il s'inspirait d'un monastère boudhiste.
- Au Champ de Mars, plus précisément en bord de Seine, une seconde représentation de la Chine prenait place au cœur de la fameuse "Histoire de l'Habitation", recrée à cette Expo par le célèbre Charles Garnier, architecte, entre autres, de l'Opéra de Paris.

Expo 1900 Paris :
Dernière Exposition universelle Parisienne, la Chine y est majestueusement représentée par un immense Parc Chinois, au Trocadéro. On avait fait grand et beau : une porte d'entrée monumentale, imitation de la porte de Confucius, un grand pavillon formant galerie, un Grand Palais, un restaurant, un théâtre, la gare de pékin, et deux autres bâtiments annexes, l'un pour l'exposition des céramiques impériales anciennes, et l'autre pour les céramiques artisanales... et comme protégé dans un des bras de l'immense Palais du Trocadéro, se trouvaient des échoppes chinoises où rien ne manquait.



Now and until 10 September, there's Expo 2017 Astana ... and as in every Expo, every day or so, a national day of one of the pavilions present takes place.
Today, it's to China to be honored in Astana ...

It will be noted that China has like many other countries, a rich and long history in Expos ... since the first one, in London in 1851!

At the end of the nineteenth century, France welcomed many Universal Expositions in a very regular way, in which China always took advantage of a place of choice.

So I take advantage of this Day of the China Pavilion at Expo 2017 Astana, to come back to a 3D film that I realized during the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai. This film presents the reconstructions of all these Chinese pavilions during the Universal Expositions in Paris,in 1867, 1878, 1889 and 1900.

Through 6 sequences, this film shows the richness and beauty of these Chinese participations that were highly noted in Paris.

Expo 1867 Paris:
- China is represented in the form of a small park of circular shape, which includes several buildings, including a tea kiosk, a restaurant, a bazaar and a theater.

Expo 1878 Paris:
- In the famous Rue des Nations in the center of the ihuge main palace of the Champ de Mars, is the front of China which precedes the galleries of the Chinese exhibitors.
At the Trocadero stands a charming pavilion in the center of a small Chinese park. Authentic Chinese products were presented. In the inner courtyard was a kiosk.

Expo 1889 Paris:
- Allée de Suffren at the Champ de Mars, there was the small main pavilion of the Chinese participation. Of a rather strange architecture, it was inspired in fact from the architecture of a Buddhist monastery.
- At the Champ de Mars, more precisely along the river Seine, a second representation of China took place in the heart of the famous "History of the Habitation", recreated at this Expo by the famous Charles Garnier, architect, among others, of the Opera of Paris.

Expo 1900 Paris:
Last Parisian Universal Exposition, China is majestically represented by a huge Chinese Park, at the Trocadero. A grand monumental gateway, imitation of the Confucius Gate, a large pavilion forming a gallery, a Grand Palais, a restaurant, a theater, the Pekin train station, and two other adjoining buildings, One for the exhibition of ancient imperial ceramics and the other for artisanal ceramics ... and as protected in one of the arms of the immense Palace of Trocadero, Chinese stalls where nothing was missing.
