Au cours de la Réunion, le Président Nazarbaïev a confirmé le soutien de l'état pour ce projet d'Exposition internationale.
Les délégués du BIE ont ensuite rencontré les élèves de l'ENU, M. Gumilev, le ministre de l'Education et des Sciences et les représentants de l'élite scientifique du Kazakhstan.
Le ministre de l'Education et des Sciences, M. B. Zhumagulov a déclaré : "L'idée du Président d'organiser une Exposition internationale en 2017 est devenu un véritable projet national perçu avec beaucoup d'enthousiasme par le pays tout entier".
Le ministre a également déclaré que la thématique était très justifiée : "Energie du Futur"... il estime que les orientations politiques et économiques du pays sont à même de développer des projets énergétiques efficaces.
Il a ajouter que l'éducation et la sciences au Kazakhstan sont les bases du développement du pays pour les décennies à venir.

Afin d'appuyer la candidature du Kazakhstan, le recteur de l'Université Nationale Eurasienne, M. Sydykov Erlan, a déclaré que "l'EXPO 2017 serait un événement très important pour l'ensemble du pays, d'ailleurs, la totalité des 12 000 étudiants sont prêts à offrir leur aide bénévolement à ce projet qui sera pour eux une expérience inestimable".
La jeunesse étudiante participe déjà activement au soutien de ce projet. Un soutien confirmé le weekend dernier lors des performances artistiques au centre commercial "Khan Shatyr".
Le Secrétaire Général du Bureau International des Expositions, M. Vicente Gonzalez Loscertales a expliqué aux étudiants que cette visite d'experts avait pour but d'étudier la pertinence des sujets portant sur l'avenir énergétique, que développent le comité de candidature Kazakhe.
Pour rappel, Astana est en concurrence avec la ville de Liège pour une Exposition internationale en 2017. Les votes auront lieu en novembre 2012.
La commission du BIE, présente à Astana du 11 au 16 mars, se compose de :

Le Kazakhstan est membre du BIE depuis plus de 14 ans, pendant lesquels le Kazakhstan s'est manifesté comme un participant actif et a contribué au succès des Expos d'Aichi en 2005, de Zaragoza en 2008 et de Shanghai en 2010. Le Kazakhstan se prépare activement à l'EXPO 2012 qui se tiendra à partir du 12 mai prochain à Yeosu en Corée.
La victoire d'Astana pour accueillir l'Expo 2017 serait une étape très importante dans la promotion internationale du Kazakhstan. Cet événement aurait une durée de 3 mois en 2017, et pourrait accueillir près de 100 pays différents, environ 6 organisations internationales, et on y attend plus de 5 millions de visiteurs.
Today, the Committee of Experts of the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) has discussed with President of the Republic of Kazakhstan of the content of Astana's bid for Expo 2017.
During the meeting, President Nazarbayev has confirmed the state support for this project of International Exposition.
The BIE delegates then met with students of ENU, Mr. Gumilev, the Minister of Education and Science and representatives of the scientific elite of Kazakhstan.
The Minister of Education and Science, Mr. B. Zhumagulov said: "The idea of the President to organize an international exhibition in 2017 has become a national project received with great enthusiasm by the entire country".
The minister also said that the theme was very justified: "Future Energy" ... He believes that political and economic policies of countries are able to develop effective energy projects.
He added that education and science in Kazakhstan are the foundation for development of the country for decades to come.
To support Kazakhstan's bid, the rector of the Eurasian National University, Mr. Erlan Sydykov, said "EXPO 2017 is a very important event for the whole country, indeed, all 12,000 students are ready to offer help voluntarily in this project to be an invaluable experience for them. "
Student youth is already actively involved in supporting this project. Support confirmed last weekend during artistic performances at the mall "Khan Shatyr".
The Secretary General of the Bureau International des Expositions, Vicente Gonzalez Loscertales explained to students that this visit of experts was to study the relevance of topics concerning the future of energy, that develop the Kazakh bid committee.
As a reminder, Astana is competing with the city of Liege for an International Exhibition in 2017. Voting will take place in November 2012.
