C'était le 22 novembre dernier... Expo 2017 Astana

Comme nous avons pu l'annoncer le jeudi 22 novembre 2012, c'est le Kazakhstan qui aura l'honneur d'organiser une Exposition internationale en 2017 dans sa capitale, Astana.

C'est à 16h45 que le verdict tombait ! après les votes des 161 pays membres du Bureau International des Expositions, le résultat était sans appel. Astana obtenait 103 votes contre 44 pour Liège, et 1 abstention.

A l'issue de la 152e Assemblée générale du BIE, était prévue une soirée, soit pour fêter la victoire de Liège, soit pour fêter la victoire d'Astana... ce qui fut fait !
Les délégués, les comités de candidatures, ... étaient donc conviés au Pavillon Gabriel, près de la place de la Concorde, afin de fêter comme il se doit, la victoire de l'une ou l'autre des candidatures.

Beaucoup de monde s'est rendu à cet événement, à cette soirée ! il y avait également un invité surprise !
Profitant d'une visite officielle en France, et après avoir rendu visite au Président Hollande, le Président du Kazakhstan, le charismatique Nursultan Nazarbayev, est venu en personne féliciter l'équipe de Expo 2017 Astana.

Nous imaginons aisément leur fierté ainsi récompensée, après plus de 2 années de travail acharné, pour obtenir ce droit à l'EXPO-2017 !

Une partie de l'équipe Belge était également présente, pour saluer et féliciter les Kazakhes, un geste certainement très apprécié, mais assurément très pesant, pour l'équipe perdante.
Quand on s'est investi à fond pendant de longs mois, que l'on s'est voué corps et âmes à un projet tel que celui-ci, c'est une fracture, une chute dans le vide... quand tout s'arrête subitement.

Et si l'on félicite l'équipe d'Astana, on doit également féliciter celle de Liège, qui a fournit un travail exemplaire, comme nous avons déjà eu l'occasion d'en parler à de nombreuses reprises.

Mais pour l'heure, c'était la fête dans les rangs d'Astana 2017 ! une réception très festive, sous les airs distillés par différents artistes venus exprès du Kazakhstan... on comprend leur joie ! et elle se voit !!!

It's was the last november 22th... Expo 2017 Astana !

As we were able to announce Thursday, November 22, 2012, the Kazakhstan will have the honor to organize an International Exhibition in 2017 in the capital, Astana.
This is the verdict at 16:45 fell! after the votes of the 161 member countries of the Bureau International des Exposition, the result was final. Astana got 103 votes against 44 for Liège, and 1 abstention.
At the end of the 152nd General Assembly of the BIE, was scheduled an evening, to celebrate the victory of Liège, or to celebrate the victory of Astana ... what was done!
Delegates, the bid's committees ... were then invited to the Pavillon Gabriel, near the Place de la Concorde to celebrate as it should be, the victory of one or another candidate.
Many people went to this event this evening! There was also a surprise guest!
While an official visit to France, and after visiting the President Hollande, the President of the Kazakhstan, the charismatic Nursultan Nazarbayev, came in person to congratulate the team of Astana Expo 2017.
We easily imagine their rewarded pride, after more than two years of hard work to get this right to EXPO-2017!
Part of the Belgian team was also present to greet and congratulate the Kazakhs, a gesture certainly appreciated, but certainly very heavy for the losing team.
When we fully invested for months, which is devoted body and soul to a project such as this, it's a fracture, a fall into the deep ... when everything suddenly stops.
And if we congratulate the team Astana, we must also congratulate these of Liège, which provides an exemplary job, as we have already had the opportunity to talk to many times.
But for now, it was the feast in the ranks of Astana 2017! reception very festive with songs distilled by different artists from Kazakhstan... we understand their joy! and it shows!
