Le 22 novembre 2011, la Ville d'Antalya en Turquie a gagné le droit d'organiser une Exposition horticole en 2016 suite à son enregistrement par le Bureau International des Expositions.

L'équipe Turque d'Antalya 2016 était présente à l'Assemblée générale du BIE lors de la journée du 23 novembre et a pu faire une courte présentation de leur projet d'exposition dont le thème est "A green life for future generations" - Flowers and children - a common wealth of nations.
Ils ont reçu des mains de M. Jean-Pierre Lafont, Président du BIE, et de M. Vicente Gonzalez Loscertes, Secrétaire Général du BIE, le drapeau du Bureau International des Expositions, concrétisant ainsi le lancement d'une nouvelle exposition.

On November 22, 2011, the city of Antalya in Turkey won the right to host an hortical expo in 2016 following its registration by the Bureau International des Expositions.
The Turkish team of Expo 2016 Antalya was present at the General Assembly of the BIE on the day of 23 November and was able to make a short presentation of their Expo project whose theme is "A Green Life for Future Generations" - Flowers and children - a common wealth of nations.
They received from Mr. Jean-Pierre Lafont, Chairman of the IBE, and Mr. Vicente Gonzalez Loscertes, Secretary General of the BIE, the flag of the Bureau international des Expositions, fulfilling the launch of a new Expo.
