Bien sûr, le responsable du Comité de la candidature de Expo 2020 Ekaterinburg, Eric Bugulov était également présent, accompagné de l'Ambassadeur de la Russie en France, Alexander Orlov, qui était venu déposé le 28 octobre dernier la lettre de candidature auprès du Bureau International des Expositions.

L'image que souhaite donner Expo 2020 Ekaterinburg est avant tout celle liée à situation géographique. Aux frontières de l'ouest et de l'Est, ils souhaitent faire d'Ekaterinburg la plaque tournante du transport entre l'Europe et l'Asie.
C'est la quatrième ville de Russie, elle souhaite utiliser son expérience de l'organisation de grandes foires ou événements internationaux pour la mise en oeuvre de ce projet d'Exposition universelle.
Le thème choisi, est comme j'ai pu l'annoncé il y a quelques jours :
"Global Mind : Uniting All Humanity in a Single Conversation." Unir toute l'humanité en une seule conversation.
C'est un sujet qui semble pour le moment assez flou, du fait qu'il puisse englober tout et n'importe quoi... de plus, ce n'est pas un thème dont le libellé ce comprend rapidement ! il doit être expliqué, ce qui n'est pas une très bonne chose. Je suppose que cela sera re-précisé par la suite !
Bien sûr, lors des différentes interventions, la Fédération de Russie a prouvé ses différents soutiens au projet et souhaite par l'intermédiaire de cette candidature de la ville d'Ekaterinburg, montrer au monde tout son potentiel en terme d'innovation, de technologie et de progrès scientifique. Attention cependant à ce que ce projet ne se transforme pas en super foire commerciale et touristique, comme pourrait le laisser penser le film de promotion. Mais ce ne sont pas les seuls à se laisser aller au marketing bas de gamme.
Le responsable du Comité de candidature, Eric Bugulov a déclaré : "Grâce à notre thème proposé de Pensée Globale, nous espérons lever le dialogue sur la durabilité urbaine initié par les Expos précédentes sur une scène mondiale, s'engager dans une conversation sur notre avenir commun, nous espérons que ce faisant nous allons laisser un héritage fondamental - social, humain et émotionnel - à notre pays, à la famille du BIE et au monde entier "... ce qui avouons-le, n'aide pas à cerner le thème de manière plus aisée !
A noter que la candidature russe d'Ekaterinburg s'est associée le 8 novembre dernier la collaboration d'un cabinet de conseil très connu, Weber Shandwick qui va soutenir leur campagne de relations publiques et de communication.
L'équipe était présente lors de cette Assemblée générale des 22 et 23 novembre dernier, et s'est déjà fait remarqué par son sans-gêne et son impolitesse.
Dans un certain sens, j'ai un peu peur pour eux, car d'après ce que j'ai entendu dire de la part d'experts reconnus dans le monde des Expositions, ils ne connaissent strictement rien dans ce domaine spécifique des Expos !
Quoi qu'il en soit, nous leur souhaitons quand même bonne chance !
Une dernière précision, la candidature russe communique depuis 3 mois, que ce soit sur son actualité ou en ce qui concerne l'histoire des Expositions et plus particulièrement l'histoire des participations russes dans les Expositions universelles et internationales, et ce, sur le Site Officiel : www.expo2020.ru (qui a maintenant disparu)
