Nouveau film d'introduction à la candidature d'Izmir pour l'Expo 2020...

Un film plutôt intéressant et bien fait... un peu long peut-être, mais presque au terme de ce processus de candidature, les différentes équipes auront pu accumulé beaucoup d'expérience et de savoir.
Il reste à peine plus de 2 mois pour faire valoir la qualité du projet... bonne chance à Izmir et bonne chance aux quatre candidatures restantes.

Izmir dépose sa candidature pour l'EXPO 2020

Le dossier de candidature a été remis au Secrétaire Général du Bureau International des Expositions, M. Vicente Gonzalez Loscertales.

Izmir, la ville candidate à l'organisation de l'Expo 2020 est entrée dans la dernière ligne droite de cette compétition.
Le dossier de 656 pages a été remis avec beaucoup de fierté et d'enthousiasme par l'Ambassadeur de la Turquie en France, M. Tahsin Burcuoğlu, le secrétaire général de Expo 2020 Izmir, le Dr Erguder Can et son assistante Zeynep Tansuğ.

Le Secrétaire Général du BIE a ensuite adressé ses meilleurs voeux à Izmir.

"Il a fallu 7 mois de travail acharné pour préparer notre dossier de candidature, en version anglaise et française", a déclaré l'Ambassadeur Tahsin Burcuoğlu.

La motivation du Comité pour l'Expo 2020 est très élevé.

Erguder Can à déclarer : "Un an avant le vote, les dossiers de candidatures sont soumis aux 161 pays membres du BIE. Ce dossier comprend, selon les critères du BIE, si Izmir obtient l'Expo, les projets réglementaires, les détails du projet d'Expo, etc... Comme vous le savez, le thème d'Izmir est la santé et je pense que nous avons un dossier très sain. Nous travaillons avec un comité qui a une forte motivation et cette grande envie d'obtenir l'Expo 2020 à Izmir. Nous essayons également d'utiliser notre énergie tous les jours, à chaque moment de l'année, de manière très efficace".

IZMIR’S CANDIDACY FILE AT BIE

The General Secretary Loscertales gave his best wishes to Izmir. Turkey’s Paris Ambassador Tahsin Burcuoğlu said ‘’ It took 7 months to prepare this file. We worked hard and clean. There are English and French versions of our candidacy file.’’

Motivation of the Committee of EXPO is Very High

Ergüder Can said ’’1 year before the voting, the candidacy files are submitting to 160 BIE member countries’ delegates. The file includes, according to BIE criteria, if Izmir gets EXPO 2020, the prescribed projects, the formats of that projects, EXPO area, etc.

As you know Izmir’s theme is health and I think our candidacy file is very healthy. We are working with a committee which has a high motivation and full of urge to get EXPO 2020 to IZMIR. We also try to use our energy and every day, moment of the last year efficiently.

Expo 2020 IZMIR... à la 151e Assemblée générale du BIE

Voici les deux films présentés par la candidature d'Izmir lors de la dernière cession de l'Assemblée générale du BIE, le 12 juin dernier.

Un premier film, totalement dans le thème, "la Santé pour Tous"... le second nous fait découvrir les richesses et la beauté de la Turquie, et de ses habitants.

Le Secrétaire général du BIE visite la Turquie

Vicente Gonzales Loscertales, secrétaire général du Bureau International des Expositions, se rend en Turquie le 3 mai 2012. Au cours de cette visite d'affaires de deux jours, Loscertales participera à des réunions sur les travaux préparatoires d’Izmir pour 2020 EXPO à Istanbul, Ankara et Izmir. Son premier arrêt sera à Istanbul.

Le Secrétaire Général du BIE aura sa première réunion avec le Président Mahmut Özgener et les membres du Comité exécutif de l'EXPO 2020 d’Izmir au 3 mai 2012. Le même jour, le secrétaire général du BIE M. Loscertales sera reçu par le Premier ministre Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. La réception par le Premier ministre sera également participée par le président du Comité directeur de l’EXPO 2020 d’Izmir et le gouverneur d'Izmir, M. Cahit Kirac, ainsi que le Président Mahmut Özgener et les membres du Comité exécutif.

La visite du Secrétaire Général du BIE en Turquie continuera à Ankara le même jour. Le ministre de la Santé Recep Akdag et le ministre de la Culture et du Tourisme Ertuğrul Günay recevront le Secrétaire général du BIE, qui se déplacera à Izmir le même soir, après avoir terminé ses visites à Ankara.

Au dîner, à Izmir, Loscertales rencontrera les membres du Comité directeur et du Comité exécutif de l'EXPO 2020 d’Izmir, ainsi que des représentants des organisations et institutions locales, y compris les recteurs des universités.

Le Secrétaire Général du BIE continuera ses visites à Izmir avec un petit déjeuner avec les membres des médias au 4 mai 2012. Loscertales complétera sa tâche et quittera Izmir le même jour.

BIE General Secretary Visits Turkey

Vicente Gonzales Loscertales, the General Secretary of the International Exhibitions Bureau (Bureau International des Expositions - BIE), is visiting Turkey on May 3, 2012.During this two-day business trip, Loscertales will attend meetings on Izmir’s preparatory works for EXPO 2020 in Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir. His first stop will be Istanbul.


The BIE General Secretary will have his first meeting with EXPO 2020 Izmir Executive Committee Chairman Mahmut Özgener and members on May 3, 2012. The same day, the BIE General Secretary will be received by Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The reception by the Prime Minister will also be attended by the EXPO 2020 Izmir Steering Committee Chairman and Governor of Izmir M. Izmir 2020 vient de mettre en ligne la vidéo de présentation, diffusée lors de la dernière Assemblée générale du Bureau International des Expositions, le 23 novembre 2011 :

Nouveau logo pour Izmir 2020

Annoncé pour le 17 janvier 2012, nous attendions tous avec beaucoup d'impatience ce nouveau logo pour la candidature d'Izmir 2020.
Il est donc arrivé à temps. Je n'irais pas jusqu'à dire qu'il est d'une originalité à toute épreuve, mais en tout cas, il affiche clairement les intentions de la candidature turque, le soleil de l'Anatolie qui se lève afin de faire profiter de la santé et du bonheur à l'humanité toute entière, lui apporter l'énergie et la joie !

En tout état de cause, il est plus gai que le précédent, de par ses couleurs, mais aussi induit une notion de dynamisme, dont Expo 2020 Izmir devra faire preuve, pour remporter l'organisation de cet événement en 2020. Ce logo est assurément le reflet des ambitions d'Izmir, et nous attendons la suite avec impatience.

Le site également a fait l'objet d'une petite refonte, pas en profondeur, mais de manière à ce que le nouveau logo s'intègre correctement.

L'avant-dernière présentation de cette 150è Assemblée générale du BIE était réservée à Expo 2020 Izmir qui, comme d'habitude, était venue très bien représentée.

La première personne à prendre la parole est M. Binali Yildirim, Ministre des Transports de la Turquie, qui a délivré un message fort, quant au soutien national pour une Exposition universelle en 2020.

Il a été répété les nombreux atouts de cette candidature turque, et que le comité allait mettre tout en oeuvre pour avoir l'honneur de recevoir cette exposition. Izmir avait déjà présenté une candidature en 2015 et c'est Milano qui l'avait remporté. La Turquie espère cette fois remporter la victoire et travaille dans ce sens, grâce notamment à l'expérience qu'elle a accumulé lors de cette précédente candidature.

A l'issue d'un film de présentation, mettant en avant les points forts de cette candidature turque, ce fut le tour du gouverneur d'Izmir, M. Cahit Kirac de prendre la parole. Il a également ré-affirmer que la volonté d'Izmir à recevoir un événement d'une telle ampleur était toujours aussi grande.

Il a été rappelé qu l'Izmir moderne est la troisième ville la plus développée de Turquie, avec une population de 3.9 millions de personne dont la moitié à moins de 30 ans.

Un effort tout particulier est mis sur l'éducation, Izmir compte 9 universités pour un total de plus de 110 000 étudiants !

C'est une ville à l'économie forte où s'effectuent 10,5 % des affaires de la Turquie.

L'industrie y est très bien représentée avec 16 zones industrielles organisées (OIZ) qui représentent 9.3% de la production turque.

On compte également près de 1500 compagnies étrangères. Les investissements de ces compagnies en Turquie ont été multipliés par 13 entre 2004 et 2009 !

La région d'Izmir représente à elle seule 4.6% de la production agricole turque. Les principaux produits sont les figues, le coton, le tabac, le raisin et les olives.

On trouve également à Izmir le second plus grand centre commercial de Turquie... et le second plus grand port maritine, dont les exportations ont augmenté de 45% entre 2005 et 2009 !

Il faut aussi noter le fait qu'Izmir a une place géographique de premier ordre, au carrefour de l'orient et de l'occident, facilement accessible grâce à Izmir Adnan Menders Airport d'une capacité de 9 millions de passagers à l'année.
Les accès routiers aux normes internationales sont également présents en grand nombre, ainsi que des connections ferroviaires à partir de l'Europe, de l'Asie et du Moyen-Orient.

Le développement durable n'est pas oublié, puisque la région d'Izmir représente le 3ème plus gros potentiel de la Turquie en matière de production électrique éolienne.

Le bien-être et la qualité de vie sont également des aspects très importants, sous la forme d'importantes sources thermales par exemple.
Le taux d'urbanisation est un des plus élevé de Turquie.

Il a été rappelé aussi que la Turquie est le berceau des civilisations, qui vit naître des éminents médecins, philosophes et poètes. Izmir à travers son histoire à toujours été une cité de tolérance.
On ne peut bien sûr pas oublier le tourisme, cette région attire un million de visiteurs par an, qui viennent apprécier ce mélange de tradition et de modernisme, et apprécier son climat grâce à 300 jours de soleil à l'année.

Ce sont autant d'atouts qui peuvent et qui peuvent faire d'Izmir l'emplacement idéal pour recevoir cette Exposition universelle de 2020.

The penultimate presentation of the 150th General Assembly of the BIE was reserved for Izmir Expo 2020, which, as usual, had come very well represented.

Remember, this is for the International Expos of 2017 in Belgium with the city of Liege and Kazakhstan with the city of Astana.
For the World Expos of 2020, there are five candidates, Izmir in Turkey, Ayutthaya in Thailand, Ekaterinburg in Russia, Sao Paulo Brazil and Dubai for the UAE.

Different applications take advantage of this General Assembly to hold receptions to ensure their communication but also and especially to meet the other candidates, experts and delegates of the BIE. These are the delegates who will vote for the cities that will have the honor of hosting an Expo.

L'Assemblée générale du Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) se déroule le 23 et 24 novembre 2011. Les pays candidats aux expositions de 2017 et 2020 viennent y présenter leur dossier, et faire la promotion du futur événement.

Un très très grand carton d'invitation pour Izmir 2020...

Ce sont pas moins de 7 candidatures qui vont pouvoir communiquer lors de cette 150è cession de l'Assemblée générale du BIE.

Pour rappel, il s'agit pour l'Exposition internationale de 2017 de la Belgique avec la ville de Liège et du Kazakhstan avec la ville d'Astana.
Pour l'Exposition Universelle de 2020, il y a cinq candidatures; Izmir pour la Turquie, Ayutthaya pour la Thaïlande, Ekaterinburg pour la Russie, Sao Paulo pour le Brésil et Dubaï pour les Emirats Arabes Unis.

Hier soir, lundi 21 novembre 2011, c'était Izmir qui organisait sa soirée, en présence de H.E. M. Cahit KIRAÇ, Gouverveur d'Izmir et Président du Comité de Pilotage, et de M. Aziz KOCAOĞLU, Maire de la Municipalité d'Izmir.

A l'issue du discours, M. Cahit KIRAÇ a offert un présent à M. Vicente Gonzales Loscertales, Secrétaire Général du Bureau International des Expositions.

Les déclarations officielles ont été suivie d'un petit concert.

...que le meilleur gagne !
